Pioneering the Indstrial Internet of Things, the company he founded, Axeda “taught everything to talk and taught companies to listen”.   Taking advantage of signals from connected products, and using context to provide users a running head start in support, RevTwo is using IoT as a “Context Conduit” to power Smarter Support for Smart Products.

Insight Vector: How IoT adoption considerations differ from small to larger firms – Part 2 of our interview with Faraz Shafiq of Verizon

Insights

Innovation and market perspectives from leading IOT innovators

In the last installment of our conversation with Verizon’s IoT Practice Leader Faraz Shafiq, we addressed the key ROI and organizational challenges that hinder the adoption of IoT solutions.  In the second part of our conversation, we discuss the differences between dealing with large and small to medium scale firms.  There’s a lot of customization work required in the early stage of Industrial IoT adoption, but for smaller customers or niche use cases it can be a challenge to justify developing unique technology. Insight Vector: Connected Products Expands Responsibility as well as Opportunity, an interview with Mario Finocchiaro – Part 2

Insights

Innovation and market perspectives from leading IOT innovators

In part one of our interview with Mario Finocchiaro, we discussed about how technology providers naturally viewed IOT through their own lens, like a Rorscach ink blot test.

In the second part of our interview, Mario discusses how companies that launch connected products need to become 24x7 service providers, and this requires a fundamental re-thinking of the business in many respects.  The real value of connected products comes from their data – which provides a “voice of the customer” that was never available before.  Security becomes a critical part of the equation in the transition to a world of connected products.
