Parquery Selected by Innosuisse Market Entry Camp San Francisco, To Support US Expansion

Momenta Partners is pleased to announce that smart city startup Parquery is joining Swiss startups at San Francisco's Pier 17 as part of Swissnex San Francisco this February. For the past decade, Market Entry Camps have assisted the most promising startups to connect with thriving ecosystems in the world’s leading innovation hubs and to establish a foothold in new markets abroad. Swissnext has supported 67 Swiss startups and integrated a community of over 400 founders and organizations within San FranciscoTheir startup alumni include renowned companies such as Ava, MindmazeBeekeeper, and Doodle and have a combined valuation of $1.1B.

Parquery is a technology spin-off from the Computer Vision Laboratory of ETH Zurich. Founded in September 2014, they operate more than 40 projects in 20 countries worldwide and have developed in-house computer vision and deep learning algorithms which analyze any image from any already-installed camera, to provide real-time results to customers. Their cloud-based solutions are easy to deploy as they can leverage existing cameras, even legacy low-resolution cameras, to lower deployment costs and integrate seamlessly with existing software platforms via simple APIs.

Vast smart city solutions

Their technology has vast applicability, and the company is expanding into more mobility use-cases. The company has built channels across several verticals (lighting, parking, system integrators) across EU and is now looking abroad. They have been seed funded by strategic investors, including Momenta Partners.

Parquery's first application is a smart parking solution, which provides real-time information on both parking occupancy and exact parking duration. Occupancy information enables parking managers and technology integrators to increase revenues and optimize enforcement. For city administrations, occupancy information increases parking efficiency and improves the overall quality of life for all citizens.

Parquery's client base has been growing: after their partnership with the Romanian software company Piconet, the Italian smart lighting company, Reverberi Enetec Srl has also installed Parquery’s solution in Lonato Del Garda, Italia.

Managing Partner, Danny states: Innosuisse Market Entry Camp is a great opportunity for Parquery to integrate themselves into the San Francisco tech and smart city ecosystem, building valuable relationships within the city. If there ever was a city that needs smart parking, it’s San Francisco.”

Parquery CEO Dr. Andrea Fossati explains: "Parquery is in California and ready to have a successful and enriching winter camp with Swissnex, we value the opportunity to bring our technology to the US and are excited to connect with the best of tech in San Francisco."

We look forward to following Parquery's progress and look forward to being part of their journey.
