Organized by Brian McGlynn of Davra Networks, the Silicon Valley Industrial Internet of Things Meetup's upcoming event will include a keynote from Ben Xiang, Global Head of IoT at Ingram Micro, Bryan Kester Global Head of IoT, Autodesk as well as a panel discussion with speakers from Samsung and IBM. The event will be chaired and moderated by Momenta's Jesse DeMesa.

IT Distributors have a significant role to play in scaling IoT Solutions. Ingram Micro is a Chinese-owned wholesaler of information technology products and services and the biggest of them all. They were acquired by China-based HNA Group for over $6 billion but remain an Irvine, CA Headquartered company.

Jesse DeMesa, Strategy Partner, Momenta Partners: San Francisco

A Connected Industry pioneer with over 20 years in Industrial, Automation & Data Acquisition Systems. Jesse was co-founder of IndX, a pioneer in the Manufacturing Intelligence space; has held senior leadership positions at Siemens and Wonderware, and was most recently CTO for GE Oil & Gas.

 

Keynote speaker and panelist:

Ben Xian, Global Head of IoT at Ingram Micro and also a Board of Director for California's Sunwest Bank. Along with previous roles at Ingram Micro, he also held director roles at Fortress Consulting and Citi Group.

 

Fellow Panelists:

Bryan Kester, Global Head of IoT, Autodesk responsible for products and services and the former CEO of SeeControl, a cloud service for creating connected products recently acquired by Autodesk (and is now known as Fusion Connect). He has worked across a range of company growth phases from seed stage through IPO and has over a decade of experience in Internet of Things and M2M markets. 

Sarah Peach, Senior Director Business Development IoT at Samsung, responsible for developing Industrial / Manufacturing verticals for Samsung’s ARTIK IoT platform. Prior to joining Samsung Strategy & Innovation Center, Sarah was Senior Director at Siemens Technology-to-Business in Berkeley, CA. Sarah has worked at the Office of the President, University of California system, and directed business development at two startups.

Shane Kehoe, a Platform and Solution Business Development Executive at IBM, working with Watson IoT. He has over 20 years experience in engineering technology architectures, sales, and business development, deploying new business strategies, managing account sales teams, developing strategic partnerships and driving profits. He has previously held roles at Rexel, GE, and Netformx.
